Richard McCarther
Richard McCarther was born August 31, 1942, in Oklahoma City to James E. Mallory and Florine Cigler. He passed away January 14, 1997, at Columbia Wesley Medical Center, the probable cause of death being a brain illness. After dropping out of East High School , he served briefly in the Air Force in 1960. He later worked as a loader and was married to Mae L. McCarther. Described by Wichita Police as a career criminal, he spent most of his adult life in jail or prison. At the time of his death, he was serving two sentences of 45-years-to-life. He is survived by his son Alfonzo. He is buried in the Kechi Township Cemetery.
