Ronald Dean Opperman died Friday, June 10, 1994, at his home in Lawrence. He was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Wichita, the son of Leland William and Claudine Stearns Opperman.
He graduated from East High School in Wichita and attended Kansas State University. Ron worked at WSU as business manager for The Sunflower, the campus newspaper which had a sizeable staff and was published three days a week. He lived most of his adult life in Lawrence and worked at various jobs.
Survivors include a brother, Robert L. Opperman, Winfield.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assn. in care of the funeral home.
Services for Ronald D. Opperman, 52, Lawrence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wheeler Memorial Chapel in Winfield. The Rev. Ron Keith will officiate. Private family inurnment will be held in Highland Cemetery in Winfield.
