Larry Train 1942 – 2013
Larry Train, 71, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013. Larry was born in McPherson, Kansas, on March 2, 1942, to the late Ruth Catherine (Tucker) and Kermit LeRoy Train. He attended Wichita schools and graduated from East High School in 1960.
On March 1, 1963, in Wichita, he married Shirley (McCormick), who survives him.
Larry retired as the owner of Augusta Tire and Auto after 41 years. He was also the former owner of Butler County Tire and Midway Auto Service. He was a member of Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge and Midian Shrine. He was a big supporter of Butler County 4-H.
He is also survived by sons, Craig Train and Jeremy Train and fiance Cindy Pletcher of Augusta; brother, Dennis Train of Andover; sisters, Kerma Karoly (John) of Chicago, IL; and Marilynn Drescher (Don) of Hollywood, FL; brother in law, Stan Cook of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Brek Train (Brooke), Heath Train and Kylie Train; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Martha Cook.
Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
