East High’s Class of 1960 will celebrate its 60th reunion on Friday, September 30 – Sunday, October 2 in Wichita.
After 62 years, we are gathering in Wichita to reconnect in person. We hope that many of you will be able to join us, although we do understand that travel is not in the cards for many others. Virtual participation via Zoom will be part of the two evening events, providing an opportunity for those of you who are far away to talk with classmates at the reunion.
Registration and reservation information is being mailed in the next few days and should appear in your mailbox next week. Responses by September 1 will help with preparations.
We will be happy to see any and all who show up for any of the following activities. Given our shared background and long lives, everyone who attends will find rewarding connections. Besides, we are planning to have a very good time!
Friday, September 30
Golf Outing: Reflection Ridge Golf Club, 7700 Reflection Road. Tee times start at noon. $45. No cart fee.
Mixer at Reflection Ridge: 4:30 – 8 PM, Outdoor Patio. Casual dress, Heavy hors d’oeuvres, Cash Bar
Saturday, October 1
Tour of East High: Main Entrance, 10 –11:30 AM. Purchase mementos of your visit at the Book Store!
Self-guided tours of Wichita: Yes, we will have suggestions for you.
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Allen House Tour: 1:30-3:00 PM, 255 N. Roosevelt. Tickets $22 available at the door. David Robinson, Docent and East ‘60 Grad, will direct the tour.
Mixer at Crestview Country Club: 4:30 – 8 PM at 1000 N. 127th St. E. Outdoor Patio. Casual dress, Heavy hors d’oeuvres, Cash Bar
Sunday, October 2

Note that we will observe pandemic protocols. Vaccinations and appropriate precautions are requested for the protection of our classmates and their families. Venues for evening mixers include both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Host Hotel for Out-of-Towners: Hyatt Regency, 400 Waterman. Call 316-293-1234 by September 9 (or as long as the block of rooms lasts) for the group rate of $129 per night, including self-parking.
