Sharon Fiscus Ersham
Sharon was born on January 5, 1942, and died March 25, 2018. She was one of the sledders that Tom Vosper mentions in his story, The Gilbert Street Sled Hill. Sharon was retired, her final position having been gift records manager for the WSU Foundation.
Sharon married Jon Ersham, East High Class of 1959. Jon says he was close to members of the Class of 1960, and he will stay on our mailing list.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Maude (Lamb) Faris; daughter, Christy Culbertson; and brother, Roger Joseph Faris.
Her survivors include her husband, Jon of the home; and three children, Scott (Trudy) Ehrsam of Omaha, NE;, Elizabeth “Liz” (Mike) Kennedy of Leawood, KS; and Amy Lawless of Glen Ellyn, IL. Her 12 grandchildren include Clint (Portia) Ehrsam, Alexis (Brian) Crittenden, Levi (Cassie) Ehrsam, Wyatt Ehrsam, Jake Kennedy, Meghan Kennedy, Adrienne Culbertson, Luke Culbertson, Lane Culbertson, Katie Kennedy, Caden Culbertson, and Hannah Lawless-Fisher, plus an additional honorary granddaughter, Kylie Holland. Her six great grandchildren are Addison Crittenden, Malise Ehrsam, Lexi Frobenius, Skyler Frobenius, Camden Crittenden, and Brooks Crittenden. She is also survived by two nieces: Amanda Faris and Bethany (Cole) James, and her animal companion, “Fluff” the dog.
A memorial has been established with Plymouth Congregational Church, 202 N. Clifton, Wichita, KS 67208.
