Patricia lived a block away from me. We weren’t buddies by any means, but I do remember an overnight at her house once when we tried to make fudge, but I do not recall how that turned out. Her mother was instructing us. Her mom was quite slim and had a very tiny waist. Other than that one instance, I have no other memories of Patricia. Oh yes, she always corrected the pronunciation of her last name. Most persons pronounced the “oe” in her name as an “o”, but she insisted on the German pronunciation as an “a”.
