Honoring Those Who Serve the Nation
Nearly every member of East High’s Class of 1960 was directly affected by World War II. We were born during the war, ate whatever our families could grow or purchase with their ration coupons, and lived with the war’s aftermath. Stories about experiences of our families and friends in World War II are being published on our website during November (or whenever they arrive).
We are hoping that you will also share stories about wartime experiences and perspectives of soldiers and family members during action in Korea, Vietnam, the Middle East, and Afghanistan.
At least 64 members of the Class of 1960 served in the Armed Forces. You can browse through their experiences in the following Tributes.
We know our lists are incomplete. Your additions and corrections will be welcome!
