Paul Lueker, 1942 – 2023
Englewood, Colorado – Paul R. Lueker, 81, died Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in Colorado from a brief illness. Funeral services were held 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 25 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, followed by burial at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Burdick, Ks. A memorial has been established with Gloria Dei Church.
Dan Tontz remembers: Paul was one of my best friends since we met in 9th grade. We went to Wichita East high school and Wichita State University together. Paul was a leader in both high school and college activities. In his senior year at Wichita State, he was president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He had top grades and received many honors. We stayed in touch through the years and I miss him.
Diane Rusch Zinn remembers: Paul was her partner walking down the aisle for East graduation.
Johnny Stevens remembers: We hung around some together in high school and played a lot of basketball. He was an excellent shooter. I can’t believe I can still remember that.
Paul was a cordial, quick to laugh, classmate. He became a civic leader in Wichita and served on the school board. I sure enjoyed our conversations at the Class of 1960 reunions.
