Carolyn Clark Noble, 1942-2024
Carolyn Clark Myers Noble, whose presence graced our lives for nearly 82 years, died on June 20, 2024. Carolyn was born into a loving family that included 16 sisters and brothers raised primarily in Wichita, Kansas. She grew up in a faith-focused family, and Carolyn was part of a dynamic duo, being born a twin with her beloved sister Marilyn. Born November 2nd, 1942, the two shared a special bond and embodied the meaning of family and friendship as they talked nearly every day.
Carolyn graduated from East High School and shortly after graduating married Joe Myers. Their union lasted nearly ten years and produced three children: Tony, Vincent, and Lisa. Upon the dissolution of the union, Carolyn committed to pursuing a college degree, earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Wichita State University. She earned this degree while raising three kids as a single parent and was very proud of this accomplishment.
She had careers in Public Broadcasting and as an insurance agent. And while she excelled in both fields, it was her last career as Director of the Senior Center of Northeast Wichita that was her great achievement. She impacted the lives of hundreds of seniors who found in her a woman who loved the art of connecting, engaging, and enriching lives. Planning activities and trips all over the country was fun for her.
Her second marriage to Robert Noble was a testimony to the power of commitment and love and lasted until his passing in 2014. There are many pictures in her home with her beautiful smile looing lovingly at Robert. She stood by his side always supporting.
Carolyn lived a full life She had a strong interest in the Arts community in Wichita and co-founded and directed many productions of the theater group, One People, that existed in Wichita for several seasons.
But her greatest love was her love for her family. While she had many friends throughout her life, she loved her sisters and brothers and adored her parents. She had special connections with nieces and nephews and also loved her grandkids. Carolyn leaves her children: Tony Myers, Vincent Myers and Lisa Whitmore to cherish her memories along with her brothers and sisters; Charlene Friday, Shirley (Ron) Davis, Linda (David) Parker, Donna (Richard) Richardson and Terry Wayne; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She will be missed.
