Doug Peltier, 1942-1999

Obituary: Douglas Lee Peltier passed away at the age of 56 on March 29, 1999, in Columbus, OH.  Formerly of Muskegon, MI,  Mr. Peltier succumbed after a courageous battle with cancer. 

For the past ten years, he had worked as the Plant Service Manager at Columbus Show Case Company.  He loved his job and the people with whom he worked.  Known for his great sense of humor, Doug was an outstanding golfer and enjoyed jazz music, antiques, Michigan football, and long hours on the beach.  He was a loving and caring man whose family was very important to him.  He was a member of the Church of Redeemer United Methodist Church.

Mr. Peltier is survived by his mother and father, Lois and Henry Peltier, Jr.; his devoted wife, Kay; sons, Marc (Katherine) and Sgt. Daniel; grandson, Nikolaj Peltier; brother, David; sister, Diane (Edward) de Garay; admiring grandmother, Jeanette Peltier of Muskegon, Michigan; and many other loving relatives.

Friends are welcome to call Wednesday, March 31, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH.  Services will be Thursday, April 1, 11 AM, at Church of the Redeemer United Methodist, 235 McNaughten Rd., Columbus.
