William “Pinky” Nelson, 1941-2018
William Arthur Nelson, 76, was born in Wichita, Kansas, and passed away peacefully on April 27, 2018, in Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Geraldine Nelson, and 
eight faithful canine companions. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wendy Nelson; siblings Walter Nelson (wife, Nikki) and Nancy Dunn (husband, Danny), and his beloved poodle, Janice. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
After serving his country for 30 years in the U.S. Army in Korea and the Army reserves, William retired as a Lt. Colonel. His career at KG&E started as a groundman working his way up to a journeyman lineman, then Line Foreman and lastly as Manager of Line Construction for the WestStar Wichita Division. A service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery.
